My encounter with massage was in Australia.

When I was at a crossroads in my life, I suddenly remembered my long-held desire to live abroad, a feeling I'd had since junior high school. I searched for an environment where I could study while working, and the destination I chose was Australia.

I chose massage school because it made it easier to balance school and part-time work, so at the time I never imagined I would make massage my profession.

However, once I started learning, I found it fascinating how the body relaxed through massage, and receiving massages felt good too, so I began to look forward to going to school itself.

My partner in class, with whom I practiced massage techniques, was a Thai woman who was already working in the Thai massage industry. One of my favorite instructors was also Thai, and looking back, I think my connection with Thailand began around this time.

After obtaining my qualifications in Australia, I went to the Wat Pho Massage School in Bangkok, where my favorite instructor first studied, to learn Thai traditional massage.

After returning to Japan, I wanted to put what I had learned into practice, so I started working at a massage salon. While gaining experience in Thai massage and aromatherapy oil treatments, I also learned foot reflexology and deep tissue massage from the basics at that salon.

My seniors and colleagues were very kind, and whenever we had a free moment, we'd start practicing together. We were in an environment where we could teach each other anything we didn't understand. I enjoyed both the treatments and the time I spent working with everyone, and little by little, the feeling that I wanted to continue this job grew within me. Looking back, if my first workplace hadn't had that kind of environment, I might not have continued this long.

I was drawn to the profound depth of Thai massage.

Around the time I changed jobs, I also started working as a mobile massage therapist. It was there that a senior colleague I met took me to a Thai massage training session.

The therapist's treatment was very gentle, deeply soothing, and incredibly relaxing. Everything about it—from the way they touched me and the rhythm to the way they used their body—was so new and refreshing, and I remember feeling a strong desire to learn more.

I was drawn to Thai massage because it involves touching the entire body in various ways—loosening, stretching, and rocking—allowing you to experience both comfort and a sense of your body becoming balanced. The more I learned, the more I felt its depth, and I became captivated by Thai massage.

Furthermore, I continued to study Thai massage and bodywork by visiting a teacher in Nishijin, Kyoto, who had been teaching Thai massage for many years. What I learned there included the pressure and speed of touch, the ability to pick up on subtle reactions, and the perspective to see the connection between individual parts and the whole body. All of these things still greatly influence my way of touching and my perspective on the body.

While studying osteopathy, I developed a desire to provide treatments that not only offer comfort but also properly address pain and difficulty in movement.

From OsteoThai to Osteopathy

I first learned about OsteoThai after receiving a treatment from a friend. I was drawn to how the comforting sensations of Thai massage combined with the perspective of osteopathy, and after several years of waiting, I finally attended a training course in Aichi.

At the invitation of friends I met there, I began studying osteopathy in Hyogo. What surprised me after a full-body treatment was a feeling different from any massage I had experienced before—a sense of lightness spreading from within my body. I was drawn to the profoundness of osteopathy, which goes beyond just the skeleton and muscles to understand what is happening in the body from various angles, and I continue to study it to this day.

Look at your body on that day without making assumptions.

Through my continued learning, I've come to value focusing on the body in front of me and not imposing my own preconceived notions.

After asking about the areas where you want to feel better and your purpose for receiving treatment, I observe your breathing, how you tense up, your movements, and your reactions to touch. Because even the same person's body is different from day to day, I try to find the right way to touch you on that particular day, and I don't make assumptions about the sensations or changes that occur, but rather leave it to your own natural healing power.

Pada's "Feel, Listen, Accept" also reflects my approach during treatments.

Feel, listen carefully, and accept the present situation as it is.

The time I spend touching your body is also a time to cherish you as a person. With that in mind, I place my hands on you one by one.

I want to be a therapist that you can rely on for long-term, confident care, not only when you're in pain, but also for maintenance to keep your body moving comfortably in the future.

⭐️I let the conversation during the treatment flow naturally. Often, both the client and I become less talkative, and our attention slowly shifts to our breathing and bodily sensations. I myself enjoy this time, which creates a meditative feeling of comfort.

On days when you want to talk a lot, please feel free to tell me about anything, from fun things to things that are both bothering you.

My usual self

I tend to get serious when talking about treatments, but normally I love talking to people, and my friends often tell me I'm funny.

I enjoy traveling with friends and going to the mountains and the sea, but I also enjoy relaxing at home just as much. I often watch Korean dramas, foreign dramas, anime, and movies.

I enjoy learning languages, and my time living in Australia made me realize the joy of speaking English with people. I've also studied a little German and Spanish, and now I'm really into Korea, so I'm taking Korean language classes.

I have many things I enjoy, but the happiest moment for me is when I'm eating delicious food.

If you have any recommendations for delicious restaurants, please let me know!

Special skills: Go (4th dan), eating a lot, cat lover
